Seeking a fresh electricity connection? Let’s check the whole process. You have two options, Either visit the nearest office to obtain the application form or apply online.

You’ll encounter a user-friendly form where you can select the type of electricity connection needed. Ensure you opt for a power company from the Distribution Company list. Complete all remaining fields, attach scanned copies of pertinent documents, and proceed to apply for the new connection.

  1. Fill out the online application form here On the application form, select the type of electricity connection you need, ensuring the correct power company of your region is selected from the Distribution Company list. Provide all necessary details and upload scanned copies of required documents.
  2. Document Submission:
    • Proof of ownership.
    • Applicant’s undertaking.
    • Power of attorney (if applicable).
    • No Objection Certificate (NOC) for tenants.
    • Attested copy of applicant’s CNIC.
    • Attested copies of CNIC of two witnesses (not needed for single-phase connection).
    • Copy of the relevant tariff signed by the consumer.
  3. Submit the application form online.
  4. Get a printed copy of the application form and attach all required documents.
  5. Send the application along with attachments to the designated office.
  6. Receive a demand notice after document verification.
  7. Pay the demand notice amount at the designated bank.
  8. Submit a copy of the paid demand notice to the concerned office.
  9. Meter connection installation will commence after payment verification.

Category – 1 (Up to 15 kW)

  • Application submission and seniority registration: 1 day
  • Site visit for feasibility: 3 days
  • Cost estimation and demand notice issuance: 2 days
  • Fee payment and submission: 2 days
  • Wiring test report submission and verification: 3 days
  • Priority list preparation and service connection order issuance: 1 day
  • Procurement of connection items and installation: 13 days

Total Expected Time: 30 days

Category – 2 (16 to 70 kW / 400 volts):

Approximately 44 days from application submission to meter installation.

Category – 3 (71 to 500 kW / 400 volts):

Estimated completion time of up to 73 days from application submission to meter installation.
